Last week was ‘True Dare Kiss’ (which is now open in the Milton Court Studio Theatre), this week we’re in Tech rehearsals for the Autumn drama double bill – ‘South Downs’ and ‘The Browning Version’. Incorporating innovative lighting, sound and stage automation in the Milton Court Theatre these two short plays tell different stories about life in boys’ grammar schools at various points during the last century.
The photo below shows the automation desk (on the left, operated by year 2 student Tom Salmon) and the sound desk (on the right, controlled by year 2 students Rhodri Evans and Kat Mercer, with Sound Design by year 3 student Mike Woods).
Below we see the automation desk again (on the right) and the lighting desk (on the left, operated by year 2 student Mat Nelson, mentored by Theatre Technology alumni (and award winning!) Max Nerula).
Below we can see some of the ‘school’ lighting effects designed by external lighting designer Mark Howland.
Tickets for ‘South Downs / The Browning Version’ can be bought here.
