The first dramas of the new spring term have moved into technical rehearsals. The new ‘rep’ season in the Milton Court studio theatre will alternate ‘Dealer’s Choice’ by Patrick Marber with three Harold Pinter plays. Both have year 3 Technical Theatre Arts students on the creative teams, with Rory Beaton as lighting designer, Rosie Stroud as sound designer and Oliver Levitt as video designer. Check out the photos below for a brief look at proceedings.

Last June the very first ‘Opera Makers’ production at the Guildhall School premiered in the Milton Court Studio Theatre and was immediately booked to perform again this January, first at the Royal Opera House and then at The Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. Both performance runs were a great success and all the students who took part gained valuable experience in touring and managing this kind of production.
The next tour will be when our upcoming drama in the Silk Street theatre – Patsy Rodenburg’s ‘Go, make you ready’ – heads off to China in April. Watch this blog for further details!
In the meantime check out the photos below for a glimpse into the prep for the shows in Budapest.
